If you remove the stile from between the doors are you also going to remove the doors? if not you will have an open space between them where the stile use to be. There are things you can use to hide the shelves e,g. spring rods with curtains or just leave them open.

Exactly what Bff says. Can be removed but you will have the gap where it was.

I found these to be handy. You could remove both the stile and rail as they are for the most part decorative.

Frame and panel. ... The vertical members of the frame are called stiles while the horizontal members are known as rails. A basic frame and panel item consists of a top rail, a bottom rail, two stiles, and a panel. This is a common method of constructing cabinet doors and these are often referred to as a five piece door.

Frameless cabinetry is sometimes called "full access" cabinetry because it offers greater accessibility by eliminating the face frame. Instead, it relies on thicker box construction for stability. Only full overlay doors can be used, with hinges attached directly to the sides of the cabinet box.

You can carefully saw the top and bottom then remove it. Then attach it to one of the doors so it looks like it is still there when the doors are closed.
