There are a number of products that work like weatherstripping to cover that groove between the counter top and stove. They come in a lot of colors and widths. Take a look at Bed, Bath and Beyond, Ginny's, Amazon, and the like to find what matches the decor. Just unroll, cut and slip into place.

I have the same problem. I bought these silicone "gap stoppers." No issues with crumbs falling through. They're also easy to clean. Be sure to use the 20% off coupon, available online or for downloading. Hope this helps.
