I'd try picking up a color from your floor. The small paint samples are a great way to try out a color on your wall. If you are painting before the new counter tops come in consider how much white will now be in your room. Send us some "after" pictures when your project is completed. Love your floor!

  • What a beautiful kitchen! The flooring is to die for. Cooking and baking would be a pleasure in that space, can I come over? 😁 I would choose a light shade from the floor tiles. Choose several and buy sample size testers and place on your wall and see what you like best. I would go light as the wood and countertops are dark and even with windows, you don't want it to be cave like in the evenings and winter months.

    • That's hilarious! Bailey is with me in my profile photo. Daisey (odd spelling on purpose), is a Chihuahua mix. My other dog is Finn. He is a Heinz 57 pavement special and not sure what he is. 26 pound bundle of energy and the youngest of the bunch. Daisey is special needs, thyroid issues, horrible teeth, and a front paw birth defect that hinders her mobility.

I would wait to paint until the white counter tops are in. The white is going to change the look of the room a lot. My first thought is a creamy vanilla because of the colors in the floor but that may not go so well with the white.

    A light tan.

If it was mine i would paint it in that mustard colour that you can just see in the photo by the curved cupboard in the front of the photo.

I'm trying to picture this lovely space with white counter tops. Is there any variation in the white quartz or is it just white??? If there is a variation in the color, I would try to use one of the off-whites from the stone as my launch point. Depending on how 'clean' you're going for, you could go more gray-ish or tan-ish to set the overall tone.

Thank you!! Yes there are some markings. More off white,if you look certain ways there is a peach hue and a few veins in a dark goldish brown and a little light grey.

Yes. The sunshine color from floor. Can mottle with sponge and lighter color and a few touches of darker if mixed with glaze. Superb effect!!! The solid white quartz may through all off unless it has colors in it. Maybe small runners or accessories to cut the white glare. Unless u ordered. Granite is way more durable and interesting and maybe even cheaper b desk only once a year if that snd never ever burn marks. Is all natural. Quartz is man made. Granite you can layers deep into the stone. Mine is brown tan cream black with early garnet formation all throughout. And lots of mica showing thru

Wait for counters! But it needs more than a flat color. IMHO. But I’m a decorative painter and it’s a lot of work

I would definitely wait until your countertops go in. White counters will change the look of the cabinets and thus, your paint color.

I agree. Wait till the countertops are in. They will change the look of the whole kitchen. Once the counters are in use this color visualizer program and play around with colors.

Your kitchen is beautiful the way it is, but since you are changing to white, I would wait until you get the counter top in. Are you also changing your backsplash?

I would definitely pick one of the lighter colors in the floor to go with the new counter tops. Remember there are so many shades of white, that is why I would wait.

Put in new backsplash when we put in the floor. Looks much nicer than in the photoπŸ€—

I'm not sure about the white countertops - - are you putting the countertop material on the backsplash too? The current backsplash is way too busy for me. I love the floor and cupboards. For paint perhaps something vivid, like a lime green or a shade of turquoise.

I think white and off whites go great together for a nice clean look. So I would do a creamy white on the walls - Navajo White is one we have in our home with white trim. It is a warm white so it would work well with the warm tones of your cabinets and flooring. Then use some sort of accent color that you love for towels, runners, dishes, etc. I love purple so I have purple accents but my big items are neutral (walls, cabinets, etc.).

The extreme lower left tile peachy with some veining through it. Easily done on the diagonal and mushed with sponge. Lightly bugged with soft brush to blur. All white and all oak with a flat wall color will only highlight floors. Not cohesive
