Just stay with a well made brand; Sherwin Williams, Behr are two of the best.

Chalk paint is the easiest. No prep work!

If you like the design of the cabinets, chalk paint plus a polycrylic sealant is the easiest way to go...if your cabinets are plain, you can update with trim to fit your style (can make them shaker style or more formal depending upon which trim/technique you choose), then paint. Sometimes something as simple as updating the hardware can make a big difference to the overall look. Depends on your budget and skill level

Still in the process of doing kitchen cabinets over and I've used chalk paint and a sealant by Rustolum FOR chalk paint. I had to order from Home Depot but came in a timely manner. Don't know why I can't get off the shelf and reviewers wondered why also. Oh well, good luck!

Hi...just my 2 cents....maybe a tension rod and hang a cafe curtin....or wall decals with a kitchen theme...I've seen some using chicken wire....or knock out the center panel if there is one and replace with a frosted acrylic....I'm wondering what to do with mine too lol....
