If it is a small space, the best thing you can do is remove anything and assess what you really need to keep. I am guilty of storing a lot of random cleaning supplies that I don't even know I have! A big purge will help clear up trash and clutter. For an inexpensive refresh, you can't beat paint! Then look into adding shelves and maybe bins to organize your things in a less busy way. Good luck!

My laundry room is small, and I installed wall mounted wire shelving by ClosetMaid on one wall. You could add pretty colorful bins or wicker baskets to store your supplies.
