My great aunt passed away a while ago which resulted in my cousin having a conversation seat to remember her by, it was old and lost its lust for life.. It sat away in the spare bedroom very sorry for itself, it just didn't fit in, she didn't want it going to the tip or to be destroyed she wanted it to go to a good home.

she had one request...bring it back to life and reflect our great aunt in it.

so our aunt was a very glam woman, loved her bling and was very classy.

i think I nailed it don't you?
this is such an emotional transformation
From a tired sad bit of wood, I started stripping the fabric off which resulted in lots of injuries
started adding the paint which was a black under paint with a pewter dry brushing
fab colour isn't it!!
rhen adding the plum suede with the crystal buttons...wow!!
the finished piece is just amazing!! And I'm sure my aunt would approve 😍

Dumb question but aren’t these called telephone benches? Lol. I absolutely love it. My mother reupholstered antique furniture for our century old big brick home for years and years. So I salute all your hard work!😊
