Easy Stenciled Curtains

Make easy stenciled curtains so you can design the perfect curtain for your space.
I had searched and searched for curtains to go in my new craft room, but wasn't able to find anything close to what I wanted. I decided to use white curtains I already had and stencil a polka dot design to match my décor.
Use painter's tape to tape your stencil onto the curtain. Use small pieces of tape to mark off the polka dots that will be painted a different color. Be sure to tape next to the polka dots that are close to the edge of the stencil so that you don't accidentally paint over the edge of the stencil (ask me how I learned that tip).
Line your stencil up on the previous row of painting. Stenciling these curtains was so easy! I can't wait to create more perfect-for-my room curtains.

Will this work sheers? What kind of paint will work on sheers?

@Nancy Koski I used fabric paint so that the curtains could be washed easily. I've read that fabric paint worked well on sheers. I've also read that some folks have add a fabric medium to craft paint when stenciling curtains. I'd recommend using the paint roller on sheers for a more even coverage. Good luck.
