Fire Place Makeover!

When we moved to our house the first thing on my mind was the fireplace has to have a make over!
Before
This is the too white fireplace for my liking...
Almost done
Painted the ledge and the sitting area (I guess thats what you call it ) black and then painted the fire place with autumn russet from Valspar. I left it like this for a few days and was happy, but I knew I could make it better.
Decided to paint the grout a gray color and Im loving it!
Closer look ... painting the screen next :)

    Wow! I agree...too much white! I was thinking, how in the world did she get that paint off that brick? Great job. Painting the grout mad the difference. I love the dark too.

      @Jeanette S thank you! I really wanted to tile it but dont have the extra money but then again I can change the color anytime so I might keep it! :)

    Painted my yellow brick fireplace red but didn't paint the grout but I think I might now! Thanks for sharing. It looks great!
