From Pass-through Aquarium to Fireplace

When we bought our house we found a surprise in the master bedroom - a big hole in the wall. But not just any hole - apparently it was for a pass-through aquarium! After years of trying to figure out what to do with the space, we got a little creative.
The pass-through aquarium as seen in the original listing.
The hole we found once the dresser covering it was removed (we are thinking the seller put the dresser there so we wouldn't notice the hole in the wall. It worked.).
We started by adding an electric fireplace (after capping the water line).
I made legs, a mantle and a frame.
I added fiber board to the top for the tile.
Starting in the center, I began stacking the stone.
I ended up changing the oversized legs for smaller legs.
After a few coats of paint, I had a fireplace!
