I live in an old Stage Tavern with 3 non working fireplaces that were just painted white...that would NOT do , so I painted murals in each one !
Looked at an old country calendar and got the idea to paint a village in my pantry....here are two shots of the village ...it was a hot summer day when I started, so I decided to paint a winter theme !
Another shot of same mural....painted with acrylic paint... first the buildings, then the trees, adding depth by mixing some caulking with my paint ! ( I love this and tend to use caulking in all of my paintings for dimension ! ) lastly, lots and lots of shading and tiny details....
This is inside the old non working fireplace in my kitchen...I wanted to feel like I was looking down on the vista from my dining table...did the ballon FIRST believe it or not..then buildings and trees and always the little details and shading at the end...it seems I am never done with those little details !
This mural is inside my non working fireplace in living room...copied somewhat from a Currier & Ivea print of the East River in NYC circa 1870 ish. Since I had lived in NYC at one time, I went for it.... love acrylic paints....you can go over and over and over the same spot to get it just right....sky and island and trees put in first with no detail, then the outbuilding on far right .....I get everything in place...I never sketch or draw first- then go to town with details....the boats, the wooden pier, the water, the tree branches and ENDLESS shading of the clouds. I am NEVER finished, it seems ! There is always something to add !

You are a very talented painter. They look amazing. I agree with Naomie. You should be painting on canvas and showing off your talent in art shows and galleries.
