That kind you can't. There are minimum clearances all around required to prevent anything from catching on fire. You can check with a fireplace distributor but I would assume they will say the same.Helpful Reply -

Build some bulit ins around the fireplace, but check with codes to see if you can do this as it may not be fireproof.Helpful Reply -

There are minimum clearances around any free standing fireplace. Look them up in the Universal Building Codes on line. You can create a fire from the heat from the fireplace and chimney stack itself.Helpful Reply -
