Asian Style Chow Foot Coffee Table Paint Job

2 Materials
3 Hours

This coffee table was originally in rough shape. It was a beautiful shape and good quality, only the paint was chipping . I knew with a little tlc we could get it good as new!

Before ! Someone had started to paint this table yellow! I painted primer all over it , and let dry then did a second coat . Once this coat dried I sanded all the way down and let it dry fully .

This is the paint I used. It was fine but I will go back to using Sherwin Williams once I finish this can. It doesn’t level and isn’t high gloss at all.

After I do each coat I sand in between then let dry. Then I go over any drops drops so I’m sure to have a finished product I’m happy with .

As it starts to dry, I sand in between coats . I definitely find this helps with a smooth texture at the end. This can only be done once each coat is complexly dry!

Lastly , after drying , I spray a polyurethane clear coat . The clear coat makes it so the piece is cleanable and can be wiped down. If I’m able to wipe it, it will last longer.
