Coffee Table Makeover With a Weathered Wood Finish
Create a weathered wood finish on any surface of furniture. Just a few steps, and you can make anything look old.

The table had some damage. I sanded the top smooth with a 220 Grit sandpaper.
I painted a base coat on the top in CeCe Caldwells Smokey Mountain. You can add water to get the last drips out of the can!
The next layer was painted with CeCe Caldwells Seattle Mist.
I used 1 cup of clear glaze tinted with Burnt Umber and a few drops of black acrylic paint. I brushed the glaze on in sections. Removed som of it by using a Cheesecloth scrunched up like a pompom.
While the glaze was still wet, I spritzed the top with with a water bottle. This creates the mottled look. It now looks like aged wood!
The base was painted with CeCe Caldwells California Gold. Then sealed with CeCe Caldwells Clear Wax.
