About five years ago I found a fish tank stand, for just $5.00 I knew what it would recycle into as soon as I saw it.
You see the fish tank stand out back, and behind it you see an old Goodwill fire place screen. Both were brushed off and re painted. Fish tank stands are heavy. So I knew it would work well for what I had in mind.I used a little gold craft paint on the leaf design on the fire place screen. When all parts were dry it was brought in the house
I used a round head sponge brush to dab on some gold paint to the leaf design.of the fire place screen
This is what I used craft paint from Walmart
What you see is my fire wood holder. made from a fish tank stand. The fire place screen is set behind the wood holder to stop the fire wood from hitting the wall as you stack it. Also the wood holder is set some inches away from the wall. I did not fill it up so you could see the fire place screen behind the wood rack. The wood rack has a piece of wood cut to fit the bottom of the rack. The shelf board on the top of the rack I found at Goodwill. For some time as I used this wood rack I would set a piece of foam board behind it to stop the wood from hitting the wall. I just thought to do this with a old fire place screen. As I was re setting this up for the fall. In the spring and summer the rack with out fire wood ,becomes a plant stand on my front porch. This was the weekend to move it back in side.
