How to Create an Outdoor Accent Table Out of a Rusty Plant Stand

Easy
With a little spray paint and a glass top, a rusty old plant stand can turn into a beautiful and useful side table for your patio!
The portion of the plant stand that holds the flowers was pretty rusty. I used a wire brush to knock a lot of the rust off. This also removed a few chunks of the metal, but that just makes it a little more rustic in my opinion.
I used Rustoleum hammered metal spray paint in Dark Bronze to paint the entire plant stand, including the wood pole connecting the top to the base. It is the same color that I sprayed my outdoor furniture last year, so everything coordinates.
You can see a few small holes were rusted through, but it doesn't affect the structure of the plant stand. I added a piece of round glass to the top of it and a table has been created! It is now the perfect place to rest a glass of lemonade while relaxing on the deck!
