Painting With Wood Stain: 80's Table Gets a Makeover

Inspired by a painting of poppy flowers, this lackluster table was given the artistic treatment and is now a show stopper.
This is Poppy. She's a 30 something girl of solid wood stock. She just got a makeover. Table top was done by free hand sketching the flowers and "painting" with wood stain in Espresso and Unicorn Spit in White Ning. Base was painted in layered greens and finished with a hand rubbed wax.
Flowers were freehand sketched in pencil. I used the Espresso color stain to fill in around the flowers and shade some of the petals. I then used Unicorn SPiT in White Ning to layer in the petals.
