It is 50” x 50” x 13”, the finish is all original, shelves are adjustable, doors lock with a skeleton key, glass is wavy, very solid and a heavy piece. Any help from the community is appreciated.

My grandfather had a similar one - a bookcase.
I think the feet are the clue. It appears to be about a 1920's style. If you have the skeleton key some old time locksmiths can date the era by the type of key.
It's an Empire style curio, bookcase, china cabinet. Without a makers mark hard to tell age and value. Look for a makers mark on the back or bottom.

It's hard to tell from just a photo. You'll have to look all over the entire piece to see if you can find a mark and go from there. It could be a quality antique or it could be a mass-market or repro, it's too hard to tell from a picture unfortunately. Wavy glass is manufactured today, it's not a marker of age necessarily.

I would get it appraised by a good antique dealer.
Oh please don't paint will lose the value beautiful piece of furniture
