I’m at it again! I’m back again today sharing another scrapwood Kreg Jig project!
My parents recently gifted us a nice wingback chair and footstool for our living room and ever since then, I have been attempting to figure out what to do for a table next to the chair. Finally I found the perfect solution! A laptop table!
These tables are so cool, depending on how you make it, you can match it up perfectly to the height of your arm or couch chair and they slide right under the couch or chair so they take up NO space!
I also needed some storage for my magazines, so I added a magazine rack as well.
The steps are really easy for this project.
I measured the height of my chair- from the floor to the top of the arm- and added a few inches. I cut two 1x4s to height and using my Kreg Jig, attached them together.

Then I added the top piece using my Kreg Jig, and the bottom as well. To ensure the table sits perfect, be sure to keep a square on the table to ensure a right angle on both pieces.
I ran out of larger pieces of scrapwood, so I had to settle for a funky bottom side with two mismatched pieces.
I used liquid nails for the part, it was so much easier!
