Shades of Metallic Accent Table

Metallics are hot for fall, year round actually for many but this smooth laminate accent table needed a makeover. Metallics to the rescue
this is just too dated and shiny and boring, time for a bit of pizzaz, I used Fusion Mineral paints metallic line in bronze all over the table to start. Then coal black was dry brushed over it all with silver metallic applied next. The varied colors give an authentic metal look to a once boring table
but dont forget the hardware, shiny gold was dulled down with country chic paint's metallic trigger, a dark grey paint which lent itself well to the table colors
here is a close up of the sides, the metallic colors blur and blend yes are no super shiny, just a soft and pretty glam look.. or manly metal if need be ;)
as well as the top, seeing it was going to probably get some use on the top I added a few coats of clear poly
I love the look of metallic in a home, it just adds a bit of sparkle and fun, would you add or do you have any pieces in your home that have a hint of metal?

LOVE IT! Did you sand before applying int paint? If so, how did you avoid damaging the laminate? If not, how did you get the paint to stick?

Did you sand the table down first?
