Vintage Dressing Table Gets French Country Makeover

Who doesn't love a good makoever? This Craigslist scored dressing table was in fine shape as for the structure, but the faces of the drawers and cabinet were worn and missing trim pieces. The pulls, to my horror, were plastic! Why one earth decorate a lovely piece with plastic? With a little dressing up and a fresh look this vanity is not styling a French country look. Come see the full makeover on the blog.
Though this dark beauty has great lines and stately design, it was lacking in the refreshed department with cracked and missing pulls and worn out finish.
The gorgeous fretwork was just aching to be called out and showcased.
Missing trim and broken plastic pulls are detracting to this once-beauty, but a little refreshing is all it needs to be made new again.
Wood putty can be a furniture refinisher's best friend in stances like this. Just fill the holes, sand, and start over.
Now the set is refreshed and touting a French country style with its gilded accents. Come see the full reveal!
