  • My bedroom does not have a ceiling light (cheap builder!), so I have buffet lamps (my bed is tall), on my nightstands. I also have a high watt (or LED equivalent), lamp on one of my dressers. That's it. I have a larger watt bulb on my side of the bed as I read in bed a lot! The master bath adjoins and has good lighting if I happen to need it. Hope this helps.

    We have ceiling fan with light and a lamp on each bedside table. That is sufficient.

    I don't know if you like to read in bed, but Home Depot sell many swing-arm-lamps that are easy to install.

    Older homes seldom have overhead lighting upstairs. In my master, I am installing two black exterior Globe Lamps, using lamp kits, so I can control both or either with either of


    A. My cellphone communicating to a Switchmate Bluetooth Outlet (beachcamera.com) to Turn off either.

    B. A Switchmate Dimmer Switch (switchmate.com) to therecesseed Outlet the Switchmate Outlet plugs into, to turn off or dim Both.


    It is so much easier, and worth every penny of the $120...
