Hi Kyra! I'd love to help you. It would help to have more pictures, but from what you're showing, I'd remove the window blinds and hang white panels for curtains for softness and dimension. You can use white sheets and curtain rod clips for simpliicity. You'd still get light but add some depth. Turn the furniture at angles to create more of a closed in cozy space, don't push the furniture flat against the walls. Hang some pretty pictures on the walls. I've painted empty picture frames in different colors (I picked three colors --3's the magic number) and hung those on my walls for interest. It works very well and receives lots of compliments. A small side table with a lamp next to each seating provides a welcoming atmosphere. Throw pillows and blankets on the couches and chairs always creatr coziness, too. Theres so much you can do!

Add curtains, but put them farther out than the window size. Makes the window look larger!

I would get a bigger rod than your window, as long as you want it and that would make the window look bigger. Also, put another rug on top of your carpet if you don't have hardwood floors. Paint does wonders and it's cheap as is cleaning. Nothing beats white and clean. I use to sell real estate and every time we saw a white palette with white couches or slipcovered it was a sure sale.

It's very hard to give advice from a photo which shows only one wall and no furnishings. If you photographed all four walls of your room (any room) you could get much more advice. But just remember hardly any decorating schemes, furnishings, colors, are forever so just jump in.
