Decorating is truly your own style and no one else opinion

  • You can but certainly not necessary. Mixing things up gives a global well traveled or well curated look. If your taste is more formal, then matching things may be the way to go. Decor is completely subective - if it makes you happy, then it works!

I've always found that as long as it looks deliberate nothing needs to match. Painted furniture always looks lovely alongside stained wood furniture.

It should blend with the other decor but it doesn't have to match exactly. People who go out and buy a complete matching set of furniture often have very uninteresting rooms.

Not at all! You can pull it together by having a theme like eclectic, country, modern, traditional so it doesn't always have to match

Not necessarily. I have two flat-topped trunks that I use for end tables and don't use a coffee table. Room is 12 x 23'. Depends on your style preference and other furniture in the room.

No! A different coffee table gives you a perfect chance to make it original. You could redo the top with Unicorn SPit, or add metallic details, or distress with your favorite colors. Almost anything goes. To me, a coffee table is as much a focal point as a fireplace. Anybody in the room may be looking at the coffee table, but usually not toward the end tables. Make it your own, by purchase or design. 😇

It depends. I've got a dark walnut coffee and side table. But, I could insert some other color like red, blue or green. If you can post a pic, I'll let you know what you might try.

    Hello,

It should, or cover one or the other with a runner or cloth.

I would absolutely NOT match my coffee table to the rest of the furniture. You want to have a curated look, not a furniture store look.
