Bold color paint on one wall, then hang floating shelves on that wall.
Jazz up your living room by finding fabric you love and making some throw pillows (you can find instructions on Hometalk or other websites) . You don't even have to sew....you can hand stitch them or even use iron on seam tape available at any fabric or craft store. Also, you might consider painting one large piece of furniture such as a credenza or entertainment center your favorite color. I just painted a large dining room buffet piece fushia (bright pink/blue) and then spray painted the brass handles with stainless steel color. It totally changed the look of the room. Added some large fuzzy white fur-like accent pillows on my massive sofa. I choose to keep my walls & window coverings a neutral color as my home is small, then I use color on pillows, furniture, and accent pieces. Whatever pleases you! If you feel great wearing a certain color, that might be the one to use in your living room. Have Fun!
