Linen Closet Organization

We have a linen closet upstairs and it needed some serious attention. Actually, all our closets need attention, but the linen closet is where I started.
When we first moved in, I covered the shelves and organized the closet. It wasn’t pretty, but everything had a place and it worked – sort of. Over the years, the linen closet became a catchall for things we didn’t use.

I sorted through one shelf at a time, putting things in one of the four categories: keep, toss, donate and garage sale.
After shopping the house, I found the baskets, wire shelf and shelf dividers. I purchased the 4 white bins and the 2 sets of drawers from Target. To make the closet pretty but simple, I added decorative jute trim to the edge of the shelves.
The next shelf now holds bins with supplies for sun/skin care and hair care. I used the wire mesh drawers to corral smaller items. This shelf is all about first aid. I used red washi tape to make the crosses on the drawers. Aren’t they cute?
