How can I organize a small linen closet that has permanent shelving?

I have a small linen closet in our hallway & I'm trying to figure out how to organize it. This closet has permanent metal shelving and I'm having trouble organizing it. Can you please give me some advise? I would really appreciate it. Thank you!!! icon

Norma, try to find some pretty baskets that will fit the shelving - even cardboard boxes that you can paint or cover with material should work. Then sort the items that you want placed in the baskets/boxes and label the outside of the baskets for "easy to find" solutions.

Hope this helps. It sure helped me. We had the same problem and a huge air duct to contend with.

Designate each shelf for a pupose..towels , sheets , health supplies. Use a basket of decorative box for light bulbs and batteries.

Bedsheets: Take one pillow case and set aside. Fold all other pieces of the set (sheets & cases) together and place inside the one case. Fold over the end. This will really help with appearance.

Towels can be folded twice, lengthwise. Then roll and stack. This takes up less room and is very pretty.

Place like items in bins/baskets/boxes and label. I spray painted all these plastic bins I had around the house to match and used labels from Dollar Tree. I fold my towels in half instead of rolling for this closet.

I have mine in the kitchen since most incidents happen there or in the yard and the kitchen is an entry point. Mine isn’t red though. I need to do that so it’s easy to find. Also made a small one for each vehicle in a cosmetic zip bag that’s clear.
