What is a mixer garage?
I would recommend investing in one of the sliding platforms so that once you build your appliance garage, you can just slide your mixer in and out.
You can add sides and a door built out of wood to match your cabinets or paint in a matching color. I would add the 2 sides from the countertop to the underside of the cabinet. A frame with a hinge and a door would be easier than a roll up style.
