The object on the left is what I think of as a "joist hanger" (I'm sorry I don't know the specific name for that exact part) its a great piece that makes it easy to attach two pieces butted up together (like a couple of pieces of wood). I used a much larger version to hang the floor joists for my deck along the supports.

The piece on the right is a clamp I've seen generally used to hold two pieces of metal together. The most common place I've seen something similar was to help hold the steel braces of a bed frame together.

a joist hanger is different that what is in the photo - this appears to be some type of latch but if you have not needed it in the last 5 yrs I would say to either save it or toss it...

I think it is a a latch of some type as well, but since you have had it in the drawer for so long, it's necessity has long passed so I would just recycle them.

The left side looks like part of a hasp. The right side has a screw to tighten and hold something in place....but what?

The left side look like the hasp that is on my storm door. The right side may be a window lock that you put in the tracks.

The left one is a door bracket kit for garage door openers. Mounts on the garage door and the opener track mounts into it. Your missing the clevis pin.

The one on the right may be something to do with a garage door opener since you found them together.

  • Part of a door it seems. I would chuck them. You can always get another at the hardware store

The one on the right is a metal bed frame connector. It used to be that all beds had box springs and the box springs were held up by metal frames.

Donate it to a thrift store. They still sell those frames.
