I do NOT have a green thumb. Do you hear me, internet?! DO NOT. But my daughter loves watering flowers (which she calls "gardening") and I love making her smile cuz she's like super cute, so it's a win win for everyone.

She's also super small for a 4 year old so I wanted to find her a watering can that was CUTE, but not giant. Her grandma gave her one that she had in some random storage and it was the perfect size! Only one teeny, tiny, huge giant problem. The thang was UGLY.

I'm sure in its prime, this thing was great. I also loved that it was metal. We can't do a lot of super fun things with big fancy power tools because I'm a chicken without my husband around, but dang it I can sling some spray paint with the best of them, okay?! So, I went for it. I decided I'm gonna paint this bad boy.

The girl LOVES pink, so I thought I would do pink accents on the spout, handle, and the .... other handle. Then spray the rest black. The goal was to make it kind of match up to her Little Tikes playhouse that we just made over (also with spray paint) that was a friggin' HIT!

I first sprayed it pink and then taped off the pink parts and spray painted the rest black!

She absolutely GEEKED OUT and was SO giddy about this! Oh, and curious about the details of her playhouse makeover? I spill it all over on this post and how we really turned that ugly brown and red house into something absolutely perfect for her! Come stop by over there and say hi, we love new family members!
