Add a pegboard to the wall and hang them there, Kelly.
Get a few of the old fashioned expandable hangers ( they are wood and pull out to expand and have pegs on them ) hang them on the wall .
If you don't have room horizontally, put this up vertically
If you can’t afford a small piece of pegboard & the hooks,
Then buy 5 packs of cup hooks at the dollar store, a 1x2”x8’ furring strip for 90¢.
cut the furring strip in pieces to fit your space. Let’s say 6 pieces, 16” wide.
Nail the strips into the studs, horizontally stacked, 5-6” apart, vertically. Screw the cup hooks into them about 4” apart and your done.
This is 24 cups storage. If they’re mugs, then it’s less. Lay the cups on the counter at an angle to see what your spacing should really be.
i would prime & paint the wall & the rack wood to be a “planned look”- tie it into my other decor.
Screw cup hooks under the cupboard and hang them.
we also have a small kitchen and used hooks on the back wall inside our cupboards to hang them (using the empty space above the plates and such )
