Hi everyone, I'm looking for a way to store my supermarket bags

I saw somewhere an excellent way to do it but can't find it now. They were kept neat and tidy in a container with a hole in the lid to pull them out one at a time

Sew a tube about 24 inches make a hem for each end and on the bottom attach elastic small enough to be able to pull bags out when you pack them in at the top. Attach a handle at the top so you can hang it where ever out of sight.. Holds lots of plastic sacks from the grocery store.

  • Mine is a basket, handwoven - purchased at craft fair. Love it, but we do not get bags in my area, we have to bring our own!

Do not reuse any plastic bags from the supermarket that have carried meat, unless you are willing to wash and dry them thoroughly first.

There is a high risk that even the outside packaging from fresh meat will contain particles of salmonella bacteria.

I have decorated Pringle cans, personal wipe plastic containers and coffee containers. The last one I used was there personal wipe container and took the lid off and screwed it to the inside of one of my cabinet doors with short enough screws and washers so not to puncture the outside of the door. Folded the bags and placed them inside and closed the lid . Then only had to open the small flap to retrieve a bag.
