First, ask yourself how many containers you really need and which you use most frequently. Recycle the ones you don't use along with any older, warped ones and lids. Match a container to a lid, don't keep extras. Choose one larger container to hold most of the lids, the ones that don't fit should sit between the wall of the cabinet and the container of lids. Nest as many of the containers within each other as possible and stack the others according to shape. Remember, you can always use tinfoil to cover and store food in the fridge. Getting rid of clutter could help ease the chaos in your cabinets and free up space for other things. Good luck!

I'm old and have used many methods over the years and, for me, this works best: make sure you have lids for all bottoms. recycle (discard) extra lids. Get gallon size Zip bags (ones with slide tabs) and separate lids by round, rectangle and square... each shape gets its own bag. Separate and nest bottoms by shape. It looks as though you are using the sink base for storage. Get a large plastic bin to fit the area and arrange for ease of use... I kept mine stored, nested, on their side, with lids in bags... pull out the bottom you want and the matching bag of lids... done! If in the budget, get a pullout drawer for the base cabinet. I have disciplined myself to recycle the odd-ball containers, now that there is recycling of plastics by the city. After my kitchen remodel I am using a deep drawer but, I still nest the bottoms and bag the lids. Now I am converting to glass little by little.

Everyone who sees my Tupperware says how great it is. I take a large container and then add the pieces on top of each other with the shortest first. It can hold a lot of pieces that way. Then on the edges where there is a small gap I place the corresponding lids. I use another container for the last pieces and lids. Always return the pieces where they belong and you will always have what you need handy and neat. I'm a bit OCD.

I sort mine by shape, then size. Circles, squares and rectangles, the containers I have all fit pretty nicely inside one another, then I have a large square zip lock container that holds most of my lids. The larger loss that don't fit just go under or into the containers by shape.

after washing and drying them, put them away neatly (the way you started this) don't just toss them in the space. then you will never have to do it again.

I stack all of the same size Tupperware together (without lids). I have a basket with a handle and put all of the lids together by shape and size. First go through all Tupperware and make sure you have a lid for each container. Toss all extra lids and containers that don't match.

How many do you really use in a week? If there are more than 4 in the cupboard at a time you have too many.....Own 6/8 of 2 sizes and 2/4 of the large ones only. From one company only. Resist the urge to buy more. Unless you use containers for lunches and food to go, buy small sets of the same size made of tempered glass w snap lids to save $$$ and resources. Avoid buying products in plastic containers and don't re use them when you do. Don't give them a dedicated cupboard, store in with the dishware or glassware, drawers are a black hole...if you own fewer of these, less food will wind up in the back of the fridge because you'll be rotating things out.....

I use cereal boxes cut like a magazine holder to hold the lids. I use smaller boxes cut the same way for the small lids. I stack the containers by shape and size.

I stack same size/shapes together and put them all in a good size rectangular basket that I just pull out from the cabinet and get what I need.

from the picture you do not have Tupperware. Tupperware is made to stack very easy. Other brands.. Rubbermaid, etc not so much! My suggestion is to get rid of everything but tupperware (or have seperate cabinets for them) Then stack them according to sizes. Put what you use most often in front and others in the back. The lids (some are designed to sit underneath Then I do) I put into the holder for lids from tupperware. If you dont' have one you could use a carboard box and make a magazine holder out of it - just make sure it is deep enough before you cut.

My SIL taught me to put my "Tupperware" (or whatever) in the cabinet but the lids in a nearby drawer! Worked great for me! I currently have a set where just 2 size lids will fit all containers (large - 3 sizes, and small - 3 sizes). I don't know if I made this clear but it works for me now!

I found 2 single drawer storage box at our local thrift store. My closet has shelves, but most times these units are stackable. I separated my assorted containers and the lids, stacked all them large to small and the lids and placed them in the drawer, with lids standing next to them. I can get at least 2 stacks in a drawer with their lids. I just have to make sure the height of the stack doesn't exceed the drawer height. I have one drawer for square containers and one for round ones. Mine just fit my cabinet with some space on the side for other things. Not much space above the drawer for me. Know the width of your cabinet. You can get new ones in Target, Walmart and Kmart or other stores. I always check my local thrift shop first before going to the store... It's like having a couple of extra drawers. Found this on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Sterilite-20518006-Stackable-Storage-Drawer/dp/B001MY0NGE/ref=pd_sim_201_3?ie=UTF8&dpID=31lrbp4NmgL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&psc=1&refRID=9G7FZ3YCPAXNXD3A6775

I use one brand, the glad rectangular. The largest ones stack on bottom, with the next graduating smaller size in there until all sizes are stacked. The lids for the largest stay underneath the entire stack, but the other lids stack in the leftover space behind the smaller sizes but still fit inside the larger size container. Ex: x lg bottom, lg. next with lg. lids, med. next with med lids behind them, etc. I have one nice neat stack, including all but the largest lids to pull out and get only what I need. Works like a charm and I feel like a professional organizer, LOL!!

Tupperware is replaceable if broken. find a dealer to make sure all broken pieces have be replaced. get a dish drainer and use it to sort lids like you do plates. check pinterest for more storage ideas.

I have mine in a box and keep the he lids in a Tupperware bread container. I never keep any other plastic containers that I buy food in ( margarine).keep the numbers down to just what you can use in a week. And store any other you need for special occasions some where else.

I keep mine in a rectangular, clear plastic container that fits on my cabinet shelf, pull it out to see what I want and then slide it back. All the lids fit inside along the edge of container

I had a couple of translucent plastic storage bins, probably about 18"x12" that had cracked or warped lids, If you don't have any of these bins around, you can get them at the a couple dollars in most places. I recycled the lids, and used one for small, individual sized containers, the kind I use to take salad to work and hold leftovers. The other holds large containers for storing and freezing whole batches of food. I keep them on a high shelf in the pantry out of the way, and when I need something, I can easily snag the bin, grab just what I need and put the bin back. It's great to have everything right there, with the lids, clean, neat and ready to go. I have also found that I have pared down my collection of containers with this method, because there are no more lidless containers and container-less lids floating around.

I bought three cotton covered bins from Walmart (you could use decorated boxes, whatever fits in your area). One holds all my lids by size/shape. Another one holds all round containers, stacked. The other holds all rectangular/square containers. I save reusable sour cream, cool whip, etc., containers... not just Tupperware. This works very well for me, BUT I'm the only one that puts away the dry dishes so I'm pretty good at keeping up with my "master plan". It simply takes a good plan and diligence in maintaining your plan (without getting lazy and just jamming them in there). Good luck!

I stack my Tuperware along with all other containers inside one another accordingly to size in one of my kitchen cabinet slide out shelves (it'll work for a cubbard just as easy. The lids are the largest problem for most people. In the same drawer/cubbard, I place an rectangular basket (mine is 12"Wx16L"x10-12"H) but it could be any size basket. Then I stand the lids up inside basket from smallest to largest. Using this method keeps all of my storage containers neat and organized without falling out all over the floor when you open the cabinet and/or draw space.

My daughter's tip: "you should only have as many plastic containers as will fit in your refrigerator." Take time to sort them out and toss any lids that don't have mates and bowls that don't have lids.

I use a sturdy box that has the holes on sides to grab it. Since in a lower cabinet out of sight, didn't paint it or decorate at all, but you could use contact paper, paint, fabric lining, etc. as you wish. I just grab it, pull it out and get the tupperware out and slide it back into cabinet.

If you can, get a wire pull-out drawer and install it in your cabinet. It is so much easier to 'keep it neat' if you can easily access the entire area you're working with. If not, just get some plastic bins. Don't keep more TW than you actually use. I speak from experience on this; I used to sell it and I have large plastic bins in my garage with stuff I haven't used in years! I only keep exactly what I will use IN my kitchen and make sure you have a lid for each bowl. Any strays are only taking up space; donate or recycle them. Next, nestle bowls inside of bowls inside of bowls. I store my TW lids standing on edge in a larger square TW box. Don't store TW with lids on; it makes them smell funky.
