Looking for effective ways to store containers for leftovers.

I have lots of leftovers containers but the are of all different sizes and shapes, so don't stack well. Tired of pawing through cupboards to find matching lids or having the containers tumble out on the counter. How do you deal with this?

Last year we moved to a home with half the cabinets as previously and I had the same problem. I found a set of containers, very reasonably priced, at Costco that all fit in a very small box. I stack them, and store the lids on edge in a large container.
I replaced all my odd sized containers that accumulated over the years with just 2 sizes of square containers that I found on-line. Much easier to store and they fit better in the refrigerator and freezer.
