Hi Michele,
I think that is a personal choice. I will say that I do. I like the rubber rolled liners that you can get at most stores that sell kitchen items. The protective lining protects my wood shelves and helps prevent chipped dishes because it's softer. They also make the shelve easier to clean because I can just take out the liner, clean it and put it back in. I hope that helps you. Wishing you the best!
Hi Michelle
it really depends on your preference. Is it a rental or your permanent home? New or used cabinets etc. rough or smooth surface? New cabinets are usually so smooth a liner is not needed
- My mom used to line everything with newspaper. I like shelf liner cut to fit but don’t want to peel the backing off as is a mess to remove. Double sided tape would be better in strategic places.
- Scrapbook paper is another option as is typically heavier weight and would add more variety to the drawers etc. using the DS tape here too
- The foam feeling liner is pretty good but finds things will stick to it so am straightening it more often
I agree. Personal choice. I had liners but they didn't work out for me. Now I don't have liners. Just painted the insides with white gloss paint.
