Hi Susan, even though you don't have many drawers, if you have cabinets with doors you can have "drawers that slide" installed in a few places so that you open the door and then a drawer slides out so you have access to what's in the back. Where I live they run about $60-70 each to have installed and are wonderful! If affordability is the issue you can accomplish nearly the same thing using sturdy cardboard boxes cut to size and make your own drawer system...just not quite as permanent or easy to use. Enjoy your new place!

I use the counterspace and walls! You can put silverware in mason jars (mine are blue!), hang knives on a magnetic bar on the wall, wood spoons, spatualas etc in large jars, hang paper towels hung under the cabinets, foil/plastic wrap in units on the wall, and so on!

Hi Susan, do you have room for an island? Sometimes its a fun project to build one or re-purpose a desk or dresser into an island.

Consider a look at Ana Whites website. She has some fabulous designs. Attaching a link here, if this is not exactly what you want have a look around other options on website there’s usually multiple different styles.
