What can I do with unusable cabinet and space in front of cabinet?

Hi everyone. I hate wasting space in my older 60's kitchen. I can't use these cabinets because they are out of reach. The space in front is where I usually place cutting boards, fruit bowl and cereal boxes. Any ideas on what to do with these cabinets and front space will be much appreciated!

I have the same thing in my kitchen, but above the fridge. I keep things in there like my crystal and other things that are rarely used. We keep extra coffee pods in a tote and dog treats on top of the fridge. I can't reach the cupboard without a high step stool or ladder. I need a step stool just to get to the top shelf in all my cupboards(they go to the ceiling). At 5'3" even the second shelves are a stretch to reach the back! Perhaps if you used a nice tray of some sort, you could put things on the tray and it would then be easily moveable to get into the cupboard. I keep a wooden two step ladder in my kitchen for reaching the unreachable.

Take the doors off, paint the backs and use it for display space.

I have had this problem in almost every apt. I have rented. I take the doors off, glue buttons over the holes, and put pretty jars, tins, or faux plants inside. Or you can put a rubber band around the handles so you can't open it, put some kitchen art on the doors and set things in front that can't be knocked off. Hope that helps.

Remove the doors and use for displaying....collection of vases, pretty bowls, or whatever fits your personality.

Paint the cabinets with gel stain take doors off. It may be a place you can store cupcake pans in
