What do you do with dead space corners in the kitchen?

We have a 12" x 12" "dead space" where our upper cabinets meet in a corner. Any recommendations what to use this space for?

A corner cabinet might work. My dad has one in his front room for a strange little corner between the couch and the sliding glass door.

Open shelves are one idea. Hard to say without a photo of how the cabinets meet. Hope this helps

Assuming that it is not truly dead space and you do have access, use these spaces for seldom used kitchenware. Things like a gravy boat that only comes out on special occasions or those extra dozen mugs that never get used. Of course if you have plenty of room that you don't need this space, leaving it empty would not be considered to be in poor taste.

You could put a small table and chairs for a romantic glass of wine or a breakfast nook. Or a wine wrack and plants a pretty desk or a pretty tea cart antique.

A space to keep a family time capsule, open up one or both of the cabinet walls and use to store those precious dishes or whatever.

I have had that in past homes. It's a good place for things you only use once or twice a year.

You can build a REALLY cute and easy corner shelf that's not like regular corner shelves, like these (pics are from google) but you could do them in any color that matches your kitchen or whatever colour(s) you wanted :)
