What is the best way to optimize storage on a pull out shelf?

We have pull out shelves in our bottom kitchen cupboards and while I like them it doesn't seem to be the best for organization. Things fall off the sides. I've seen ideas but they are all for permanent shelving.

I have all pull out shelves in my pantry. My bottom shelf is the tallest so I store boxed items, cereals, pasta, chips, etc. They dont fall off when shelf is pulled.

Try putting heavier things in the back , lighter things in the front and maybe gluing a one to one and quarter inch strip of wood across the front of the shelves to keep things from toppling off.

Get some baskets from the dollar store and put some of the pantry items in those. They won't fall over/out when the shelves are pulled out.
