  • Is there any place you can hang a pot rack? Pots and pans take up a lot of precious cupboard space, because they are so large. Here is the DIY wall mounted pot rack in our 100 year old house we made:

Some ovens have a storage drawer on the bottom in others this is your broiler. You can store pans in them. If it is your broiler just remember to remove them before you use it.

I store them inside my oven, due to my compact kitchen!

Put up a pot rack and place your pots and pans sitting on top of the rack instead of hanging them from below it.

You can cook with just a few pots and pans. Store the other ones before you do something to regret later. This can be very stressful I know but just wait until the right thing for your kitchen shows up. Follow the sites that people gave you here. Measure your kitchen make a floor plan, go to menards, home depot, or Lowe's and see what they suggest remember they want to sell cabinets, you just want ideas. Have them print it out for you and go home. Then look at it and see if there are any changes you can make on your own just by adding or moving things around. When we re did our kitchen the sales person was very helpful at menards and I must have gone in there often with different questions, asking about options because things didn't line up for me and how it could be rearranged. They listened, offered options point is what feels right for you. What do you like what is your style. You don't want to hate going into your kitchen and you probably want it to flow with rest of home so wait and maybe focus on something else. Then re visit after a couple of weeks. Good luck.

Do you have wall space where you can hang them. Or like it was mentioned before. Hang above you

Hi, I feel your pain! :-) My tiny kitchen is 9 ft wide and 6 ft deep. Suggestions: If you have space on a wall, attach pegboard with construction glue. Paint it the color of your choice. Then hang all of your pots/pans with open handles on large (1") brass hooks. You can also hang other kitchen utensils (pot holders, strainers, lids etc.) if it has a loop or open handles.

Another option is to install shelves on the wall wherever you have space. And, to purchase a rolling heavy duty metal stand with a butcher block top. You'll gain additional storage apace under the stand. If you have to stack your pots/pans in storage, be sure to use a felt sheet or some type of separator to prevent scratching of the interior surfaces.

When I had a small galley kitchen, I hung the pans on the inside of the pantry door. Now that I have a slightly larger kitchen, I hang them on a pot rack over the kitchen sink.
