Today I want to share an easy and cheap way to keep all of those loose containers and lids from taking over the kitchen cabinet. My household uses them every day for lunches, leftovers, and so much more so they tend to become a mess. Having a small kitchen and high shelves made it a challenge. I would stand back and toss them in, having given up on the whole mess. But here is a simple way to take back your space!
Don't throw away those cardboard boxes! That's all you need for this trick.
Recycle those boxes in to lid containers. Cut the box in half at an angle, and that's it. You can cover them with contact paper, fabric, or leave it like it is. It's up to you!
If you have high shelves, leave a small tab at the short end of the box so you can grab it and pull it out when needed.
Simple, easy, and cheap!
Suggested materials:
  • Boxes   (recycle)
  • Box cutter
