This is the place, gonna have to pack some boxes and do some demolition
Everything started with two doors that i found on a used stuff site here in Québec
Broken glass, many coats of stain and varnish
But i knew they would be beautiful, they just need some love...plenty of it
i was right, two beautiful cherry wood doors
Now it's time to do some demolition and make my Butler pantry. Boyfriend say i have a little bubble in my head but he doesn't see what i see in my head, loll
Oups, gonna need some tile
Some construction, a little bit of electrical stuff, thanks love
By the end of first day, looking good
The next day was spend on building shelves and put back everything in it. After two days and half, i could use it
The week-end after it, some finishing touches and put the beloved doors at their place. I know, it's ridiculous but I truly love those doors
Looking good , isn't it
You see why I love those?
Stain: done, plaster: done, I have some paint to do , glasses to put back on , handles to install and little doors to make for the top of the wall but I LOVE my butler pantry
Suggested materials:
  • Shiplap   (Rona store where I work)
  • Galvanised rail for garage door   (Same place)
  • Melamine shelves   (Also the same place)

Can you give an estimate as to cost of hardware for your doors? They are just lovely.

Did you make the light fixture in the kitchen? I just love all the different bulbs.

This is awesome! I wish I had seen this before I have bought huge cabinets to go either side of my fridge when I renovated the kitchen. What are the 2 open spaces up top for? Just air flow?

I wish I had seen this before buying the tall cabinets I got for a pantry. I got three for 700.00. I love your idea..and its so pretty. Next time I will need to check Home Talk first..live and learn.

Thanks terra, over all this project cost me about 500$, the hardware was the expensive part (200$). Wood, shelves , Shiplap for the rest. Doors only, 30$ for both. Paint, stain, new glasses , already have those. Pretty good inventory in my basement.
