Cute Farmhouse Style Dollar Store DIY Painted Jars

Farmhouse decor is hot, hot, hot when it comes to home decor. People are loving the simplistic style and minimalist look, but to buy home accessories in this style can be rather expensive.

If you’re looking for a fun and easy way to add some fun decor to your home, we’re going to share how to make painted glass jars to imitate some of the costlier options out there. These jars are great for storage, as vases or just as a home accessory.

For this project, you will need the following supplies.

• Decorative glass jars (We bought ours at Dollar Tree, but you can use some you have on hand, bought for a garage sale or purchase at a craft store)
• Paint – Antique Parchment used for this craft
• Foam paint brush

Super easy to do, this project can be created in minutes. To get set up, gather your supplies and lay down something to protect your work surface like newspaper, parchment paper or cardboard.

Using your foam paint brush, paint the entire outside of the jars with a light coat of paint. Keep the paint thin and allow some of the glass to show through to keep the distressed look.

Allow the jars to dry before using. These are perfect just for decor, or for storage. Use them however you desire.
