You are really into recycling. It is not just a fad. You sincerely believe in the same. You do not want to waste.

Welcome to the BOHO basket DIY. Here we use mainly materials which are leftover from your regular day-to-day DIY activities / household uses.

Best boho basket!

Feeling inspired but don't have the time to make a basket? Check out this bestseller boho basket that Amazon reviewers swear by!

I had two amazon packing boxes. Keep aside one of them, the smaller one for the basket. From the other one, cut a rectangular section which is slightly less than that of the base dimensions of the smaller one.

In my case, the box size was 18"L x 12"W x 10"H. I cut a rectangle out of the other box of size 5 mm lesser than the base of the box. This will form the platform for strengthening the bottom of the box.

I had half roll of the wallpaper I had used for the house. We will use this in the project.

Paste the wall paper on the platform base which we prepared in the earlier step.

Place the base now carefully inside the box. Once done, paste the wall paper on all the sides of the box to fully cover the entire area. This is how it will look after the complete pasting work is done.

Roll the jute rope / macrame thread on the sides right from the bottom to nearly 3/4ths of the height of the box. This gives a fantastic texture to the basket.

Take a piece of rope for handle and cut into two pieces. These will serve as handles for the basket. A tip. Once you cut the rope, you can use adhesive to ensure that the individual strands of the rope at the edges are gummed together. This will ensure that the rope does not come apart.

Fix the rope as handles on both sides using a strong adhesive.

Now take a length of decorative lace and cover the handle joint parts.

Similarly, on the inside, you can decorate using the lace. You can choose to decorate the entire inside of the basket to suit your aesthetics. I decorated the opposite sides to give a contrast look.

The basket is now complete. You can use this to place soft toys in your showcase.

Or place planters and keep on your tea table.

You will find that it is quite versatile and you can keep hand towels, children's stationery etc.

Nice. But all-the-while I’m wondering what BoHo means?

I have all my closets organized with homemade “baskets” such as this one. Instead I used leftover material and a couple fabric shower curtains. It’s fun to get super creative.
