I store a lot of things in mason jars all over in our house -- dry goods, candy, and craft supplies in my craft room.
Since I love everything vintage, I use my collection of vintage blue mason jars to store many of my craft and DIY supplies in them.
When I found inexpensive white plastic Ball mason jar lids that look so much nicer in our white kitchen, I updated the jars on our kitchen shelf with these white Ball "storage caps."
It's a more modern, sleek look. What do you think?
Do you store things in old-fashioned mason jars?
Another plus: since we use those mason jars full of nuts and cereals every day, it's easier to handle the one-piece white lids compared to a metal top and ring every time we open and close the jars.

Have fun updating your mason jars!

This is the before: our mason jars with boring metal jar lids.
I switched out the metal tops to these white lids.
Voila - so much nicer.
I really love the look of these while mason jar tops in our cottage kitchen.

I used them in the bathroom for cotton balls, bath salts, hair clips.
