I have an obsession with candles. There's just something so soothing about lighting a candle at night and enjoying my evening with the soft glow and sweet aromas.

But because I love candles so much, I go through them pretty quickly. I've always wanted to clean out and reuse my many candle jars, but I couldn't find an easy (& non-messy!) way to get the wax out. Until now...
When I got to the bottom of this brass and marble candle, I knew that I had to save this gorgeous container to reuse it for something else in our home.
I've read about boiling candle jars to get the wax out, but that seemed too messy and dangerous for me.

Instead, I popped mine into the freezer overnight to really harden the wax.
Next, I grabbed a butter knife and cut up the remaining chunks of wax. It easily separated into 4 large pieces.
I dumped those out and was left with an empty (albeit waxy) candle jar. Check out the full blog post tutorial to see how I cleaned the waxy jar and got it ready for storage!
With the jar clean, I could now use it for just about anything! Cotton balls in the bathroom, washi tape in the office, the possibilities really are endless.
