Kitchen Trash Bag Dispenser

It seems like getting organized is a never ending work in progress. It is an area I definitely struggle with and my guess is you probably do too. If not I would love to get your advice on the subject. It seems if I would just take the time to take the necessary steps to get organized it would make life easier…sigh.
When it comes to organizing cabinets, closets and pantries, a great way to optimize your space is using containers that you can store items in and stack items on. I can’t stack anything on top of the kitchen trash bags and plus they unravel and leave a messy pile. I first thought if there was something I could upcycle/recycle, but nothing would fit the bill for what I needed. I wanted to create something that would not only contain the trash bags, but would also allow me to stack other items on it, therefore maximizing space. Hence the Kitchen Trash Bag Dispenser was born. For this project I recruited my dad. He is a master at DIY projects and working with wood and metal. We will be working on many projects together in the future.

For supplies you will need: 1 – 1x8x6, saw, 18 gauge pin nails 1.5 inches or wood nails 1.5 inches, nail gun or hammer, wood glue, wood filler, spray paint, drill, rope or jute and super glue.

Here are few pictures of the process after the spray paint was applied.
How the bags fit in the dispenser.
It works great to dispense the bags and keep the roll intact.

Cleverly made, but just too bulky. I, too, set several bags in the bottom of my waste basket. Its simple to reinforce the original box with packing tape and hide it in the cabinet.
