Finding the perfect stencil will update a thrift store find in no time. See how a plain Lazy Susan can easily be updated in the farmhouse style with a little paint and a great stencil.
This pile came from an estate sale and contained great items including this very large but plain Lazy Susan. (Please check out my other posts to see the hanging lamp made with this large colander)
I began by using a large wreath stencil, lightly stenciling the wreath onto the Lazy Susan. I taped the stencil to the Lazy Susan using painter's tape. You can also use a spray adhesive to adhere the stencil to the Lazy Susan.

It is important to work with a light coat of paint when stenciling. Several light coats keep the paint from bleeding under the stencil.
When the stencil paint dried I coated the Lazy Susan with a spray satin sealer. The sealer protects the stencil and brings out the color in the wood.
This farmhouse style Lazy Susan is now a gorgeous centerpiece that can easily service a large table.
