We have stored paints for 2-3 years that are still usable in large mason jars. Instead of the metal lids, you can buy plastic lids that screw on. Before screwing on the lid, I put a layer of plastic wrap. Our paints are stored indoors. We live in Ohio & don't have a heated garage.
Hi Pat. For sure! I would store it in plastic though as steel may rust and discolor your paint. You can even purchase plastic paint containers.
Yes but regardless of what you store it in make sure you put plastic wrap to prevent sticking and that it is completely sealed. Double check to make sure container is paint safe.
any container that you can seal so no air gets in, any jars recycled add plastic wrap under lid;plastic containers that the lids seal well plastic wrap under lid;you can also buy actual paint cans to use.
Thank You Everybody those are great ideas!!!
