How to use an old bookcase for extra storage?

You had this project about an old bookcase where you lay it on the floor and.......... (every time I clicked on the project it rolled over to the "tufted ottoman with the self-eating fake leather cover"). I want to know what to do with the old bookcase on the floor for extra storage (with pictures please)

    Hi Eli,

It looks like the end result of the bookshelf on the floor was the tufted ottoman. The Hometalk member who created this project was doing a DIY version of a West Elm Ottoman and said to go to her own website to see the hidden storage. There was a link under the instruction section to her website but I've got it here for you. Just scroll down to the end of the project to understand about the storage. I hope this helps you.

We have an old book case in my craft room and I bought clear tubs to put on the shelves to organize all my crafts and be able to see what is in each tub so I do not have to dig. You can find them at Walmart in many sizes. I used the shoe box size and let them stick out to get more of them on a shelf. I have it covered from top to bottom with my crafts in the tubs. I also put lids on them so if one falls or gets dropped, it won't spill.
