Any ideas for storage in the small space next to my washer and dryer?
Next to my washer and dryer I only have 16" to spare. Any ideas for storage? I would like to have some cabinets above also.

That 16" would be the perfect space for a rolling utility cart with shelves to hold all the cleaning essentials. We had a space like that in the last house, and I loved having that little cart!
Build some cabinets to fit. Go somewhere where they sell used cabinets and see what works for your area.
Check out IKEA for a cabinet to fit into the space. You could get one that has at least four shelves in a cabinet that size. You could put all of your laundry needs in a cabinet that size.
